Architect / Lead Databricks Engineer

We are looking for a Databricks Lead to drive data platform strategy, architecture, and delivery excellence. This role requires strong technical leadership, client-facing capability, and ownership of large-scale implementations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise data strategy and Lakehouse architecture roadmap.

  • Architect large-scale data platforms on Databricks across cloud environments.

  • Lead end-to-end implementation and modernization programs.

  • Establish best practices for data engineering, DevOps, and governance.

  • Oversee performance optimization, cost management, and scalability.

  • Drive data security, compliance, and governance initiatives.

  • Engage with senior stakeholders and provide technical advisory.

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of data engineers.

  • Support pre-sales activities including solutioning and effort estimation.



Requirements

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics platforms.

  • Proven experience architecting Databricks-based solutions at scale.

  • Deep understanding of Spark internals and performance engineering.

  • Strong at-least one cloud hands-on experience (AWS / Azure / GCP).

  • Experience implementing governance frameworks (Unity Catalog, data lineage, metadata management).

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Experience leading teams and managing project delivery.


Good to Have

  • Experience in multi-cloud data architecture.

  • Knowledge of ML engineering and MLOps in Databricks.

  • Databricks Certified Professional or Architect certification.
