Architect / Lead Databricks Engineer
We are looking for a Databricks Lead to drive data platform strategy, architecture, and delivery excellence. This role requires strong technical leadership, client-facing capability, and ownership of large-scale implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Define enterprise data strategy and Lakehouse architecture roadmap.
Architect large-scale data platforms on Databricks across cloud environments.
Lead end-to-end implementation and modernization programs.
Establish best practices for data engineering, DevOps, and governance.
Oversee performance optimization, cost management, and scalability.
Drive data security, compliance, and governance initiatives.
Engage with senior stakeholders and provide technical advisory.
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of data engineers.
Support pre-sales activities including solutioning and effort estimation.
Requirements
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics platforms.
Proven experience architecting Databricks-based solutions at scale.
Deep understanding of Spark internals and performance engineering.
Strong at-least one cloud hands-on experience (AWS / Azure / GCP).
Experience implementing governance frameworks (Unity Catalog, data lineage, metadata management).
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience leading teams and managing project delivery.
Good to Have
Experience in multi-cloud data architecture.
Knowledge of ML engineering and MLOps in Databricks.
Databricks Certified Professional or Architect certification.
