Workday Developer

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Workday Developer with 1-5 years of expertise in designing, developing, and supporting Workday solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Workday technologies and possess the ability to customize and extend Workday functionality to meet business needs. Candidates with experience in Private Equity or Capital Markets will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workday System Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions in the Workday platform, ensuring adherence to Workday best practices and business requirements.
  • Workday Integrations: Develop and maintain integrations between Workday and external systems (including HCM, Finance, and other enterprise systems). Experience with Workday Studio, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) is essential.
  • Customization and Configuration: Perform Workday customizations and configurations for business processes, reports, and workflows, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Provide post-implementation support by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Workday systems and integrations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, HR teams, and IT to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain proper documentation of developed solutions and provide training or support to end users as needed.
  • Workday Releases & Updates: Stay current with the latest Workday releases and assist in the deployment of new features and functionalities while managing the impact on existing systems.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that all customizations and developments comply with industry best practices, security guidelines, and Workday-specific standards.


Requirements

  • Experience: 1-5 years of experience in Workday development and technical configuration, including integration and reporting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Workday technologies, including Workday Studio, EIB, and Integration with external systems.
    • Experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, Talent, or Financials modules.
    • Strong understanding of Workday's core configuration capabilities (business processes, security, reports, etc.).
    • Proficiency in languages like XSLT, XML, and web service technologies.
  • Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications (preferred): Workday Certification in relevant modules (HCM, Payroll, Integrations, etc.) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Workday report writing and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and integration technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies or DevOps practices.
